Tram-Anh Nguyen - Co-Founder & CEO of CFTE
Tram-Anh Nguyen is the Co-Founder & CEO of CFTE (Centre of Finance, Tech and Entrepreneurship), an EDTECH company that works with individuals, corporates and governing bodies to provide education and support to those looking to up-skill and advance their careers in finance, tech, fintech and entrepreneurship.
Tram-Anh started her career on the New York trading floor of Standard Chartered Bank before joining UBS Wealth Management overseeing investments for clients in Asia. It was after a life-changing experience when she was at the top of the twin towers in New York when 9/11, struck that she realised she wanted to leave the traditional world of finance after 15 years and start supporting individuals by equipping them with the education they need to embrace emerging tech. This is how CFTE was born.
Their mission is to transform the face of finance, creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace by opening new doors to people that never would have had the opportunity to work in the industry before. 40% of their students are women and fintech is predicted huge growth of 25% annually over the next 2 years (Fintech Futures 2020 report) and we will see 8x more jobs in this sector compared to 2019. CFTE are carving part of this digital transformation and continue to encourage more women into this sector.
Tram-Anh is also a busy mum of 3 daughters, has a diploma in Feng Shui and lives with her husband and family in the UK.
